Like many in Hull, Kingstown Studios was excited by the potential of the City of Culture celebrations. We wondered exactly what culture means thesedays and approached luminaries from the Arts world for their thoughts on the matter. Will Gompertz, Alan Yentob, Nikki Bedi and the Minister for Arts were amongst the many who did not reply, despite being issued with a free stamp addressed envelope. Indeed, the only person to respond was Professor Will Self, describing the extravaganza as, 'A boondoggle for Arts administrators'. With this perspective in mind we took inspiration from the 'Blade' installation to produce the short videos below and  hope that we have responded to the self-proclaimed 'challenging' aspect of this remarkable bit of modern masterpiece, like.... oh you know what I mean.
